Jennifer takes care of her mind before body. She recently revealed to Rolling Stone that she goes to therapy, adding that she has "become much more spiritual" since having kids. Her daily prayers and affirmations include "I am whole; I am good on my own; I love the universe, the universe loves me," she added. "I try to always live from a place of gratitude," she said. "But today, especially, if you ask me what my first thought was, it was, 'Thank you. Thank you, God, for this day. Thank you for my life, what it is.'"

Lopez suggests evolving your approach to exercise as you age. "In my 20s and 30s I used to work out but not like I do now," she explained in InStyle's 2021 The Beauty Issue. "It's not that I work out more; I just work out harder and smarter. And it doesn't take me as long as it did in the past. I do it more for my health than I do for looks, which is funny. When you do things for the right reasons, you actually look better!"

Jennifer understands the importance of hydration, drinking a ton of water. Her trainer, Dodd Romero, revealed to US Weekly that she "drinks a minimum of seven glasses a day."

Jennifer knows there are no shortcuts to a hot body. "You got to work out, you got to watch what you eat," she told Us Weekly. "It's a job— you've got to buckle down." Dodd revealed that she eats a lot of protein, vegetables, fats, carbohydrates and water. Additionally, she "stays away from processed foods and gets her nutrients from whole sources." Egg whites, white meat turkey, chicken breast and grass-fed beef three to four times a week serve as her main protein sources. She also consumes healthy fats in the form of fish like salmon and sea bass packed with high levels of omega-3s and 6s and "a handful" of nuts per day. She also eats lots of veggies and complex carbs like sweet potatoes, brown rice, quinoa, rice bread and oatmeal, which she'll eat with fresh berries.

Jennifer allows herself to indulge on occasion and within reason. "Throughout the years I've learned the importance of maintaining a healthier […] diet," she told People. "I still eat some of the foods I love, but in moderation. I don't deprive myself."

While Jennifer mostly does strength training, she likes to try various workouts. "I have a lot of respect for people who do the pole," J.Lo told Jimmy Kimmel after playing a stripper in Hustlers and having a pole installed in her home. "It's, like, acrobatic, it's a different muscle group," she said. "And the things that they do with their legs and everything and go upside down…it's hard."

Jennifer might be getting older, but she doesn't use that as an excuse. She looks better and more fit than ever before at 52. "I'm in the best shape of my life," she admitted to InStyle.

"Very rarely will I skip my workout," she told Us Weekly. "Sometimes, I work too late the night before, and I'm like, 'Ugh, I can't do this.' But I tell myself, 'Just do it. It's only an hour.' It's just talking yourself off the ledge of being a lazy bum."
