Jenna Dewan Stuns in Two-Piece Workout Gear Doing Reformer Pilates Celebwell

Jenna Dewan is doing Pilates – in her two-piece workout set. In a new social media post the mother-of-three shows off her amazing body, including her post-baby abs, in an Alo workout set. In the Instagram Stories image, she does reformer pilates at the brand's studio. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Jennis is happier when she is moving. She strength trains with a trainer. "I feel really grounded and I feel really strong," she tells Women's Health. According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Dewan takes "me time." This can be taking a bath or going on a hike or walk. She also meditates. "I go in and out of being a really great meditator and someone who does it when they can, but even just one meditation a day or every other day — as much as I can to keep my stress levels down — is really good for me," she said.

Jenna takes a lot of baths. "When they say do you have any fun Friday night plans," she captioned a post of herself soaking in the tub. How can baths do your body and mind good? They have been linked to better sleep and even found helpful to minimize anxiety and depression. One recent study even found that they may even boast cardiovascular benefits.

Jenna has a "pretty healthy" approach to diet, following the 80/20 rule she tells Women's Health. She gravitates towards produce, eating "mostly vegetarian" and drinking green juices. "But then I also want nachos at times, and I want French fries," she says. "I let myself splurge when I feel it."

Dewan's diet is nutrient-dense, vegan, and gluten- and dairy-free. "I've really noticed a huge difference," Dewan explained about switching to the diet. "I do this probiotic drink in the morning, and [my] digestion gets better, [my] bloating goes down… And the difference I feel in my energy and my skin and my mood while eating this way is all the proof I needed. I feel more balanced. I feel less sluggish. Food is medicine."

Jenna is also a big fan of Pilates, which she does at the Alo studio. Why is pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic there are lots of benefits to the workout, as it "strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility resulting in improved overall health." It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, relief from stress and back pain, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.
